Here at Liberty, our physical education program is designed to promote and maintain an active lifestyle for our students. One of the most fundamental goals of our P.E. program is to facilitate the development of our students with regards to the concept of physical literacy. Put simply, physical literacy is the ability to move with competence and confidence in a wide variety of physical activities in multiple environments that benefit the healthy development of the whole
individual. In addition to the concept of physical literacy, our P.E. program also provides our students with an inclusive opportunity to develop with regards to social-emotional learning and
positive self-image. The primary objective of P.E. has and will always be to teach the physical and social-emotional skills which will ultimately improve our students' well-being and inspire them to continue growing as active individuals throughout their lifetime. In order to accomplish this objective, physical education at Liberty is designed to instill an understanding of how this subject is incredibly relevant to every student's life and to spark a lifelong interest in learning more about the wonderful world of physical activity, health, and fitness.
